For a long time, there has been a widespread belief that nutritious food is tasteless, bland, and even repulsive. We all know that a salad is better for us than a hamburger, so we opt for the burger because it has more flavour – or so the theory goes. But there is no reason for this to be the case. With the addition of a little spice, any food will become more interesting.
There will still be those who argue that, while a grilled chicken breast contains fewer calories than a family container of fried chicken, it does not taste as good. And, while this is a matter of opinion, the fact remains that opinions do matter.

However, if you add a little seasoning to the tuna mix, you will discover that there are a variety of different tastes in terms of calories that add very little, if anything. Paprika, pepper, cayenne, and the list goes on. If you have a taste for them, you can add some sliced jalapenos to make things even more interesting. And sauces on supermarket shelves these days go beyond steak sauce and ketchup – flavours like piri-piri and teriyaki are a welcome change from the norm.
